Web Site, Ergo Sum

Web Site, Ergo Sum

A short excursus

A website is an indispensable tool for strengthening Brand Identity and plays a fundamental role in the communication of a Company, a Freelancer, an Organization, or even just an Event (an exhibition, a concert, political elections, etc.).

But it’s not enough to just buy a domain, and – most importantly – an IT course isn’t sufficient to create a website. A team of experts in IT and visual communication is needed to ensure that the website is perfectly coherent with the Visual Identity both from a graphic point of view and from the point of view of the tone of voice of the contents.

If you’re not on the web, you can’t really say you exist.

When commissioning the creation of a corporate website, we start from the so-called Identity: the design, planning, and development of the site must be in line with the client’s professional values and business objectives (Core Concept). Following careful analysis, we move on to designing the structure and graphic layout to ensure that the website is aesthetically appealing and structured to make navigation easy for users (User Experience).

Developing website content involves careful copywriting work: the texts must have the right tone of voice, be original, and structured in a way that is appreciated by users and at the same time by search engines (optimized for SEO) to increase positioning and make it easier for potential clients to find you.

“Web site, ergo sum” is a play on words that refers to Descartes’ famous statement “Cogito, ergo sum” (I think, therefore I am). In this case, “I think” is replaced with “website” to emphasize the importance of online presence in our digital age.

In recent years, the world has become increasingly connected and digitized. People spend more and more time online, both for personal and professional reasons. This has made online presence increasingly important for businesses and individuals.

A website represents the online presence of a company or a freelancer. It is a way to show oneself to the world, to present products and services, and to communicate with customers or followers.

In other words, a website is an extension of our digital identity.

Not all websites are the same.

The structure and content vary based on the objectives identified during the briefing phase and on the budget that the client chooses to invest.

One-Page site consists of a single page and is a solution that presents content in an immediate and direct way, with a linear design and a structure that can be easily navigated even from a smartphone. It is the cheapest option of all.

Multi-Page site is the best choice if the company offers numerous products or different services. Internal pages and in-depth information allow for detailed information and highlighting all the strengths of each individual theme. In addition, a complex site structure (but still easy to navigate) ensures better positioning within the search engine. Examples of this type are the websites I have created for some engineering companies such as Italian AR.CO. ENGINEERING Srl and British SPEAR ENGINEERING Ltd.

E-Commerce site on the other hand, is the best solution if you want to sell your products online. The user experience becomes complete and effective, increasing the chances of conversion. Very detailed images, multilingual texts, and particularly easy and intuitive navigation are designed to lead the user to purchase. Examples of this type are the websites of REX ARTIS and NETTUNO MARINE EQUIPMENT.

A website is not just a way to present oneself to the world.

A website is not just a way to present oneself to the world. It is also a tool to interact with it. Through a website, it is possible to create valuable content for one’s customers or followers, offer them services and products, and respond to their questions or comments. In this way, a website becomes a reference point for the company or person’s target community.

Not only that. It is also a way to consolidate the relationship with those already acquired. Thanks to the possibility of creating valuable content and interacting with their customers or followers, a website becomes a reference point for them. In this way, the company or person can consolidate their online presence and improve their Brand reputation.

To enhance Brand Identity and online presence, it is also necessary to develop custom editorial plans and strategies through extensive and unlimited sharing on Social Media. Working on the most widespread social channels and enhancing content sharing is not only important but necessary today. By exploiting the different advertising modes that can be created through Social Media, we design and implement advertising campaigns on the most suitable social channel for your Core Business, both B2B and B2C (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Telegram, YouTube).

A website with a well-structured editorial plan can therefore be used to reach new customers or followers. Thanks to search engines and social media, a brand can be easily found by people who do not yet know the company or person. In this way, a website becomes a digital marketing tool that helps reach new customers or followers.

In conclusion, with Cartesio we say “Website, therefore I am” emphasizing the importance that online presence has in our digital age. A website represents our digital identity and becomes a tool to present ourselves to the world, interact with it, reach new customers or followers, and consolidate relationships with those already acquired.

An essential tool for those who want to be present and active in the digital society in which we live.
